Don't die 1/2 Empty or even Malnourished!

Top Five Regrets Of The Dying
12-10-11

For many years I worked in palliative care. My patients were those who had gone home to die. Some incredibly special times were shared. I was with them for the last three to twelve weeks of their lives.

People grow a lot when they are faced with their own mortality. I learned never to underestimate someone's capacity for growth. Some changes were phenomenal. Each experienced a variety of emotions, as expected, denial, fear, anger, remorse, more denial and eventually acceptance. Every single patient found their peace before they departed though, every one of them.

When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. Here are the most common five:

1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

This was the most common regret of all. When people realize that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people have had not honoured even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.

It is very important to try and honour at least some of your dreams along the way. From the moment that you lose your health, it is too late. Health brings a freedom very few realise, until they no longer have it.

2. I wish I didn't work so hard.

This came from every male patient that I nursed. They missed their children's youth and their partner's companionship. Women also spoke of this regret. But as most were from an older generation, many of the female patients had not been breadwinners. All of the men I nursed deeply regretted spending so much of their lives on the treadmill of a work existence.

By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to not need the income that you think you do. And by creating more space in your life, you become happier and more open to new opportunities, ones more suited to your new lifestyle.

3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.

Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never became who they were truly capable of becoming. Many developed illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a result.

We cannot control the reactions of others. However, although people may initially react when you change the way you are by speaking honestly, in the end it raises the relationship to a whole new and healthier level. Either that or it releases the unhealthy relationship from your life. Either way, you win.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

Often they would not truly realise the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved. Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.

It is common for anyone in a busy lifestyle to let friendships slip. But when you are faced with your approaching death, the physical details of life fall away. People do want to get their financial affairs in order if possible. But it is not money or status that holds the true importance for them. They want to get things in order more for the benefit of those they love. Usually though, they are too ill and weary to ever manage this task. It is all comes down to love and relationships in the end. That is all that remains in the final weeks, love and relationships.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

This is a surprisingly common one. Many did not realise until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called 'comfort' of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have silliness in their life again.

When you are on your deathbed, what others think of you is a long way from your mind. How wonderful to be able to let go and smile again, long before you are dying.

Life is a choice. It is YOUR life. Choose consciously, choose wisely, choose honestly. Choose happiness.

'Creeps & Sneaks'

‘Creeps & Sneaks’       November  2013        Rick Godley

Have you ever snuck into anywhere?  Like a movie theater when you were young; perhaps a bar, nightclub concert or a sporting event?  Then you know what it’s like to be ‘sneaky’ and ‘creep’ in somewhere!  Reflect as to how you felt at the time and how you feel about it now!   Maybe it was exciting then, but now, hopefully, now we know better.   I’m sure it was all done in fun and no one meant any harm.

The book of Jude warns us about other ‘Creeps and Sneaks’ that we need to be aware of.  These ‘creeps and sneaks’ are not so innocent and they mean harm.  Before I quote the verse, may I encourage you to go and read the complete book for yourself, read it slowly and read it out loud.

Jud 1:4  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, wicked men, turning the grace of our Elohim into lasciviousness, and denying our only Sovereign, and Master Yahshua the Messiah.’    Who are these ‘certain men’ who creep in unaware, in other words, the sneak in with a mission and a purpose?    Notice their mission and purpose, ‘ to turn the grace of God into lasciviousness’ and to deny ‘Jesus’  as The Messiah.

What is ‘lasciviousness’ and when was the last time you heard a sermon to be on your guard about these ‘certain men who were before of old ordained to this condemnation’?   Do you have any in your ‘church’?  Do you have that in the ‘soil of your soul’?    ‘Well, Rick, don’t know!   No one ever asked me that before, what the heck is lasciviousness?’

Thayer Definition:  1) unbridled lust, excess, licentiousness, lasciviousness, wantonness, outrageousness, shamelessness, insolence!   Say what?   Don’t you love it what they define a word we don’t understand with more word we don’t understand?

Wantonness?

Let me look that one up for you, cause I really don’t know either!
Thayer Definition:  1) unbridled lust, excess, licentiousness, lasciviousness, wantonness, outrageousness, shamelessness, insolence.  Hmmm seems the same as lasciviousness.   Words are not wasted in Scripture, so if it’s in there twice its not a mistake.  The mistake would be to slough it off and move on.   Bad idea.

Didn't ‘Jesus’ and the writers of Scripture keep warning His people?

May I quote some of those warnings?

We need to ask ourselves if these ‘creeps and sneaks’ are currently in ‘our midst’, that is, inside of us and inside of the assembly.  We also need to ask ourselves if the rotten fruit of their message has filtered down to our current ‘beliefs and faith’ and toss it overboard!

Warning!   2 Peter 2  1-4  (actually the whole chapter!  Read it for yourself)  2Pe 2:1  But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.  And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.   And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.  For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment;

Warning!  Gal. 2:4  But as for the false brothers, sneakingly brought in, who sneaked in to spy out our freedom which we have in Messiah יהושע in order to enslave us,

Warning!    1 Ti 1  3-11 1Ti 1:1   As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine, nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith. The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion,   desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions.   Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,’

Warning!  2 Tim 3:6   2Ti 3:6  For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions,   always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.’

Warning!  Jude 4 (above)   11-13 Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam's error and perished in Korah's rebellion.  These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.

The point of it all is this.   Goats are always trying and have tried from The Beginning to get in the midst of the sheep.  That’s why The Good Shepherd will be THE ONE who sill separate the two.  (Matt 25:32)  Grievous wolves are coming, have already been and are now inside the sheepfold!  (Matt 7:15,  Matt 10:16, Luke 10:3, Acts 20:29)

To bring this ‘inside the cup’ (Luke 11:29), because not only  has the ‘seed of the serpent’ successfully infiltrated His ground, His flock from The Beginning in the garden and they need to be noticed among The Flocks.   That seed has also been implanted in our corrupted flesh and has manifested itself in our behavior.   Which is why one needs to deny ‘that seed’ :

(Col 3:5-9)  ‘Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming.   In these you too once walked, when you were living in them.   But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.  Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices….’

And be ‘born again’ of the incorruptible ‘seed’  (The Seed of the Woman) Col 3:10  and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.’

Like the old Almond Joy candy bar jingle, ‘Sometimes you feel like a nut….sometimes you don’t’, well this is what ‘sometimes one acts like a ‘creep’ and sometimes one don’t’.

‘You Might Be an Abomination….. If’

A while back a comedian by the name of Jeff Foxworthy made us laugh at ourselves while he made a lot of money pointing out the truth of life.  His comedy shtick, was called, ‘You might be a Redneck, If…’ and proceeded to list slice of life items that made us laugh cause they contained truth.  Here’s only 10 in no particular order.
You might be a redneck If:
1)       You think loading the dishwasher means getting your wife drunk.
2)      You own a home that is mobile an 5 cars that aren’t.
3)      You own a homemade fur coat.
4)      The Salvation Army declines your mattress.
5)      Your schools fight song was Dueling Banjo’s
6)      The taillight covers on your car are made of red tape
7)      You’ve ever financed a tattoo
8)      Your dog and your wallet are both on a chain
9)      Redman Chewing tobacco sends you a Christmas Card
10)  Your house doesn’t have curtains, but your truck does
And on and on….quite amusing I think we all would agree.

Why is it in religion, we want to all condemn those homosexuals and queers as abominations?  Ask anyone who says that and ask him or her, where does it say that in The Bible?  Chances are they won’t know the exact chapter and verse, yet, they will have to go back to that Old Testament to get it, you know that part of the book that modern religion teaches is old, and done away with.  That Law thing that we’re not ‘under’ anymore cause our homeboy ‘Jesus’ took care of dat and we’re now under grace.

Why is it that modern religion want to throw out that ‘Law’ cause it’s sooooooo burdensome and done away with, YET, will gladly take up the tithe of people’s money and say homosexuals are abominations.  Sounds like selective religious amnesia to me, choosing to remember what we want to remember and choosing to forget what we want to forget.

While the Word of The Creator does list a host of activates as abominations in Leviticus 18, I’ve come up with another list of 10 other Abominations that we might want to review before we go to that Big 'A' in Lev. 18.  So here goes, I’ll only do 10, there are more!

1)      You might be an abomination IF you have lying lips!  Proverbs  12:22
a.      Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who act faithfully are his delight.

2)      You might be an abomination IF you have wicked thoughts!  Proverbs 15:26
a.      The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD, but gracious words are pure.

3)      You might be an abomination IF you have Pride!  Proverbs 16:5
a.      Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the LORD; be assured, he will not go unpunished.

4)      Your Money might be an abomination!  Proverbs 20:10
a.      Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the LORD.

5)      Your Prayers might be an abomination!  Proverbs 28:9
a.      If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.  (You still want to say The Law is done away with?  (Matt 5 17-20)

6)      Your Food might be an abomination!    Deuteronomy 14:3
a.      "You shall not eat any abomination.
(‘Jesus never ate a pork chop nor a BLT, Thank God!)

7)       Your Worship might be an abomination!  Deuteronomy 17:3-4
a.      and has gone and served other gods and worshiped them, or the sun or the moon or any of the host of heaven, which I have forbidden,  and it is told you and you hear of it, then you shall inquire diligently, and if it is true and certain that such an abomination has been done in Israel,

8)      Walt Disney cartoons might be an abomination!  Deuteronomy 18:10-12
a.      There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD. And because of these abominations the LORD your God is driving them out before you.

9)      Dare I say your Fleur DeLis, Gold Crucifix, Rabbits foot could be an abomination!  Deuteronomy  27:15
a.      "'Cursed be the man who makes a carved or cast metal image, an abomination to the LORD, a thing made by the hands of a craftsman, and sets it up in secret.' And all the people shall answer and say, 'Amen.'

10)    Your lips may be an abomination!  Proverbs 16:6
a.      a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
(Might want to think about what you say about someone before you say it!)

As you can see, these aren't as funny as Jeff Foxworthy’s yet they are just as True since they are the Words of The Creator who speaks only Truth.  There are more.  My point, if we who profess belief in the Creator from The Beginning of  The Book would check our own abominations, then possibly, quite possibly, those other abominations wouldn't have a foothold to grow in The Body.

Feedback always welcome, Rick@ GodleyWorks.com

PS:  I do a prison ministry here on the states called 'Prison Breaks:  Life in the Cells' and one thing I have noticed is that these men don’t have family members visit them as much as you might think.  So I am starting a Stamp and phone card ministry for them to write and call their families.  If you want to invest, so led, so do.  This is separate from CLM, so make sure you don’t take away from them, but set aside, if you are so led, and send it to GodleyWorks, mark it prison funds.  Thanks.

‘Don’t Let your guard down’

‘Don’t Let your guard down’                           June 2013       Rick Godley

In football, the most glamorous position is usually the quarterback.   Yet, I’m sure to any quarterback you ask him what’s the most important position to him and he will tell you it’s his offensive line.  This essentially consists of a center, two guards and two tackles.  Of the 2 guards one seemingly has a more important role to play, that is to protect the quarterbacks ‘blindside’,   the side where is back is exposed to the enemy trying to infiltrate and sack and destroy him.  The position is not glamorous and folks rarely know your name, except when you make a mistake and it’s revealed to all that you go beat by the opponent.  It’s one of the few positions where you never see the action, your back is to the ball during the most critical moments of the play.

In boxing you’ll hear a coach scream at his fighter to ‘keep his guard up!  Don’t let your guard down!’  Why?  Because the fighter is both on the offensive and defensive at all times.  Trying to take out his opponent all the while protecting or guarding his head!    Letting one’s guard down in boxing could prove not only costly but maybe fatal!

So when it comes to our walk of faith you may hear, ‘what difference does it make’?  We just had a former Secretary of State use that phrase recently.    Likewise how many times have we had the ‘Don’t Judge-Me Card’ trumped down?   Does it make a difference?  I can be wrong in a judgment call and make amends, yet, like the offensive guard on the blindside of the quarterback, if I let my guard down, someone gets hurt and possibly killed.

Our adversary is seeking to steal, kill and destroy. What difference does it make?  It seemed to pretty significant to THE Quarterback, (The Messiah) in Matthew 24, when his team asked him 3 questions about the ‘end times’, when will it happen, what will be the sign and the end of the age?  The Messiahs 1st words out of His mouth ‘See to it you are not deceived/misled’.   Why would he say that?  Because not only can we be deceived and misled, that there is someone out there trying to do just that!
Then He goes on to explain it this way.  Visualize it with me, let’s say it is a football huddle, The Messiah is the Quarterback and everyone is looking at Him, and He’s says, many are coming on our team saying that ‘I am the Quarterback’, pointing to Himself.  He’s going to come in our huddle, team, wearing the same uniform on the outside, maybe with the #66, but not always!   That’s who we need to be on guard with!   And you still are wondering what difference does it make?

Adam was the 1st offensive guard!  The Creator created everything for him, food, healthcare, Life, retirement, a spouse to be fruitful with and if that wasn’t a nice package, Adam got to fellowship and walk and talk with The Creator!  What did The Creator ask Adam to do to maintain all of the above?   Gen 2:15, ‘  And יהוה Elohim took the man and put him in the garden of Ěḏen to work it and to guard it.’  Work the Garden and Guard the Garden.  What difference does it make if he didn’t guard the garden?    You get what we got!

When will we begin to keep our guard up?  Does it make a difference?  Obviously in the modern church world it doesn’t.   We have diluted and distilled ourselves down to insipidness by allowing any and all to come and not be on guard as even ‘Paul’ warned us with the same warning!   ‘Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.  I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;  and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.’; Seems like it made a difference to ‘Paul’.

Nehemiah warned us as well, keep your guard up and don’t let the enemy get in! Neh 6:1  ‘Now when Sanballat and Tobiah and Geshem the Arab and the rest of our enemies heard that I had built the wall and that there was no breach left in it (although up to that time I had not set up the doors in the gates), Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, "Come and let us meet together at Hakkephirim in the plain of Ono." But they intended to do me harm.  And I sent messengers to them, saying, "I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?" And they sent to me four times in this way, and I answered them in the same manner.’  What if we had said to Nehemiah, what difference does it make?  Looks like they want to help, let’s let them.

Even the brethren in Acts didn’t let ‘Paul’ in after his conversion.  They tested the Spirits 1Jn 4:1  Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.’  Act 9:26  ‘And when ‘Paul’ had come to Jerusalem, he attempted to join the disciples. And they were all afraid of him, for they did not believe that he was a disciple.’   Proving one can make an error in judgment and make amends, but let your guard down to the one who comes in as an ‘angel of light’ will be fatal.

1Co 15:33  Do not be deceived: "Bad company ruins good morals.”

It made a difference to ‘Paul’ when advising Titus; “For there are many who are insubordinate, empty talkers and deceivers…. They must be silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for shameful gain what they ought not to teach. They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.”

Keep your guard up and contend earnestly for The Faith once handed down to the saints from The Beginning,  creeps and sneaks are always trying to get in!  Paraphrasing Jude, Jud 1:4  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, wicked men, turning the grace of our Elohim into lasciviousness, and denying our only Sovereign, and Master Yahshua the Messiah.”

Mar 8:15  And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.

Luke 12:1:  Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Mat 16:11  How is it that ye do not understand that I spoke it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?  Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.’

Gal 5:9  A little leaven leavens the whole lump.’

Does it matter, what difference does it make?   Depends on whose recipe you’re following?  A pure message of The Word or a mixed message polluted over time where one refuses to let go and be cleansed.
Beware of setting your standard of ‘like minded believers’,  even the demons believe; ‘ you believe  that there is one Yahweh; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.’    You want to associate with like minded ‘behaviors’.

Pro 30:20  This is the way of an adulteress : she eats and wipes her mouth and says, "I have done no wrong."  In other words you can almost hear her say, what difference does it make?

Now is not the time to play the ‘Don’t Judge Me Card’ cause it doesn't make a difference, we need to keep our guard up so we don’t get blindsided!   Then we will be in One Accord able to receive the power necessary to destroy the works of the devil and advance His Kingdom, and He will keep the corruption of Ananias and Sapphira out of the Body!

I think it makes a Big difference.   Don’t You?

ADHD christianity symptom #2 Would the Bride of The Messiah use this product?

What does the phrase 'I agree with you to an extent' actually mean? Is it like Ivory Soap? 99 & 44/100ths % pure. Doesn't a mixture mean impure? Another symptom of ADHD christianity.  Unable to discern between the clean and the unclean.

'Well I think it means.....' I was taught......' Blah blah blah....

If any of these phrases enter a dialogue when discussing Scripture then we have moved off Truth and into Opinion, which has nothing to do with His Word.  Curb this phrase from your vocabulary and you will see more in His Word than ever before!   This will help you get rid of those 3-D Glasses (Doctrine, Dogma, and Denomination) .  These phrases make for good talk radio but not Truth.

Phrases I've heard from others while studying ‘The Word’

“What I was taught….”                    “What I was led to believe…”

“I believe…..”                                    “I just gotta believe…”

“What I think it means…”               “I was told…”        “I kinda Thought….”

“I was always told…”                       “I was taught…”           “ I've been taught all my life…”

“I always heard…”               “To Me….”     “According to  (fill in pastor or teachers name here)…”

“I don’t think I’m sinning…”       “I just thought…”                    “What we were taught….”

“Everything I’ve been taught since I was a child…”

“In my heart of hearts I believe…”

“God knows my heart….”

Deu 29:19  And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:

“See to it that YOU are not deceived!

I know we skim over, water ski if you will on The Word of God’s Words, never really stopping to think and mediate on this, Selah.  I myself am guilty or should I say, have been guilty, yet, recently there’s been a verse that’s been ruminating in my mind in light of recent events here in the US, Matt 24:4; ‘See to it that no one misleads you’.
Remember, it was His disciples that came to Him privately in verse 3 and they had 3 questions on their minds:
1)       When will these things happen?
2)      What will be the sign of Your coming?
3)      And the end of the age?
To which, the One that knows, didn’t answer any of these with the first words out of His mouth. He says, Hey!  See to it that NO One leads you astray!’  Other versions say, See to it that No One deceives you!  (GAV = Godley Amplified Version).
Now why would He who Knows, say that?  Because He knows that a time was coming when deception was going to come in preparation for the one who is coming with ‘great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, lead astray, deceive, if possible, even the elect’ (Verse 24)  Not only is it deception but the admonition is to watch out that ‘you NOT be led astray’.
Hmmmm, someone or something is out to lead people astray. You might ask yourself, ‘Astray from what’?  Ever wonder about that?   I mean if sin if missing the mark as we were taught, then what’s the mark?  After all aren’t we like sheep that have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way.  (Isaiah 53:6)  Kind of sounds like the 1st verse in the satanic bible, ‘Do what thou whilst’.   Matter of fact the root word of astray is that same for the word ‘seducing’, so no wonder  ‘the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils,’ (1 Tim 4:1)
Lets reflect on current events in light of potential deceptive/seducing spirit-o-meter.  After all we are to beware of demonic doctrines right? Would you be able to spot one if you heard one?  Then prove scripturally why it’s a doctrine of demons without having to set an appointment with your pastor?
Regardless of whatever allegedly happed in Boston on April 15th and the week that followed, leader of  the Boston Red Sox, David Ortiz took the field at Fenway Park to say a few words of encouragement to the  fans gathered there as part of the ‘Boston Strong’ reaction to the events.
What did “Big Pappi’ have to say?  “This is our F-bleepin city, and nobody is going to dictate our freedom, Stay strong”.  (Little did he know the dictates that are on the horizon). His message was greeted by a roar from the crowd from the chairman for the Federal Communications Commission praising Ortiz for speaking from the heart!  Not fine for profanity since it was on television!  I guess the FCC must have been taught ‘The Lord knows my heart’ so its ok to scream the F-bomb in front of families without shame.
So what was the reaction to the profane language from those in authority?  Bud Selig, the Baseball Commissioner said amazingly, ‘I agree with the FCC.  I thought David Ortiz’s choice of words was outstanding, given what he was trying to say.  I mean that sincerely.”  Huh?
Ok Rick, what’s the big deal?  Nothing if David Ortiz nor Bud Selig profess any kind of faith in Scripture then there doing what they’re supposed to do.  If however, folks in your church don’t have a problem with it, then they have been deceived and seduced and led astray because they can’t discern between the ‘holy and the profane’, they need to turn from their wicked ways.
The Florida State Legislature recently had hearings on whether to provide medical care to an infant who survives an abortion only to be shocked when a Planned Parenthood official endorsed a right to a ‘post-birth abortion’!  (You read Right!)  Now you can see how we are sacrificing our sons and daughters to Molech! ‘They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons; they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood. Thus they became unclean by their acts, and played the whore in their deeds.’ (Ps 106:37-39)
Can you believe the following dialogue that took place in the Florida State Legislature?  Rep. Daniel Davis then asked Snow, “What happens in a situation where a baby is alive, breathing on a table, moving. What do your physicians do at that point?”
“I do not have that information,” Snow replied. “I am not a physician; I am not an abortion provider. So I do not have that information.”
Rep. Jose Oliva followed up, asking the Planned Parenthood official, “You stated that a baby born alive on a table as a result of a botched abortion that that decision should be left to the doctor and the family. Is that what you’re saying?”
Again, Snow replied, “That decision should be between the patient and the health care provider.”
“I think that at that point the patient would be the child struggling on the table, wouldn't you agree?” asked Oliva.
“That’s a very good question. I really don’t know how to answer that,” Snow said. “I would be glad to have some more conversations with you about this.”
Later another representative asked Snow, “What objection could you possibly have to obligate a doctor to transport a child born alive to a hospital where it seems to me they would be most likely to be able to survive?”
Snow said Planned Parenthood was concerned about “those situations where it is in a rural health care setting, the hospital is 45 minutes or an hour away, that’s the closest trauma center or emergency room. You know there’s just some logistical issues involved that we have some concerns about.”  Huh?
In the sports venue we are supposed to support and encourage a marginal NBA player for having the ‘courage’ to come out and pronounce he’s gay while we are to say good riddens to Tim Tebow for being such a distraction and disruption while he strives to be the best athlete he can be willing to do whatever is asked of him all the while professing his faith in a Creator and maintaining a morally pure lifestyle and is a professed virgin to this day because he’s waiting till marriage.
Have we been led astray or what?  Recently we had ‘the national day of prayer’ here in the United States’, when are we who are called by His name ever going to humble ourselves and confess that we have inherited lies in the religion of christianity and turn from our wicked ways and walk in His Ancient paths of obedience?  (Not to be saved, get over it, because you are supposed to be saved and show it with your obedience!)
As I write this, the Supreme Court will soon be rendering a decision about what constitutes marriage in these United States.   I won’t predict what they’ll pass down, however, if they rule opposite of The Creators definition, then watch the shaking that will ensue.
See to it that YOU are not deceived!  Led astray!   Ask for the ancient paths and there walk in them!!!!  Jer. 6 16  Why?  Even stronger delusions are coming!  Mat 24:24  For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

Cave of Adullam Bible Study Ground Rules (1 Sam22:2)

Cave of Adullam Bible Study Ground Rules  (1 Sam22:2)

1. Don’t believe anything I say! You Be a Berean  (Acts 17:10-11)  ‘ And the brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. They, when they arrived, went into the synagogue of the Jews.   And these were more noble than those of Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind and searched the Scriptures daily to see if those things were so.’
2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you fail to meet the test!
TEST EVERYTHING!!!!   1Th 5:21  but test everything; hold fast what is good.

2.     If ‘Jesus’ could reveal Himself out of Moses and ALL the prophets of Scripture, so should we. (Luke 24:27)  And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

3.     If we want to know the END, where should we go to find out?  According to The Creators Word?  THE BEGINNING!
(Isaiah 46 9-10) Remember former things from forever; for I am God, and no other is God, even none like Me,  declaring the end from the beginning, and from the past things which were not done, saying, My purpose shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure;

4.     We now look at Scriptures as an Agricultural Book & A Military Manual, not a Theological, Denominational, Manmade Dogma, Religious book.

5.     The Most Important Parable, According to Jesus is Mark 4 and Matthew 13.  ‘Jesus’ said, if you don’t understand this one, how are you going to understand the others!

6.     We have Inherited Lies and Falsehood in religion, things that don’t profit us anything.  (Jeremiah 16 19-21)  O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.  Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?  Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.

7.     His Name is not LORD.  (see the front of your bible)

8.     Two Fundamental Questions we always ask:
a.    Did God Say?  (Gen 3:1)
b.    Who Told You?  (Gen  3:11)

9.  There is only The Creator and The Corruptor; There are only 2 seeds, there are only 2 Trees Names in the Garden and The Creator didn't plant the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

10.       Did Jesus come to start Christianity?  (Acts 1:6)
a.    Or any other ‘religion’ for that matter including Judiasm.

11.       When it comes to The Word you are reading right in front of you:  Believe what you read don’t read what you believe!
a.    Re read the above 3 times slowly
b.    Still doubt, then go to Item 8

12.                  Who is the Teacher?
a.    Rick Godley?      NO!!!!
b.    Your Pastor?       NO!!!!
c.     Your Denomination?  Doctrine? Dogma?    NO!!!!
d.    The Holy Spirit  YES!!!
                                                              i.      1 Cor. 2 esp. v 13, Luke 12:12, John 14:26
                                                            ii.      Exodus 4 12-15
                                                          iii.      Deut 4:1
                                                          iv.      Psalm 25:8, 27:11, 32:8, 86:11, 119:12,

13.                  Who are we?  Ordinary Unschooled men….(Acts 4:13)

             I’d rather have questions I can’t answer, than answers I can’t                 question.

14.      Removing errors sharpens our game….  All we have to lose are the errors we hold and then we gain the Truth.  There is nothing but shame to be gained by willfully holding on to false opinions. 1Jn 2:28  ‘And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming. If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.’
